À titre de directeur Santé, sécurité et environnement, vous mobiliserez les équipes et la direction autour d’une vision SSE commune, tout en supervisant des secteurs essentiels de l’usine et en soutenant l’excellence opérationnelle.
À propos du rôle

Relevant du directeur général, vous dirigerez le système de gestion de la santé, de la sécurité et de l’environnement de l’usine selon les principes de la performance humaine et une approche favorisant l’appropriation par les opérations. Vous intégrerez les considérations SSE à l’excellence opérationnelle et à l’amélioration continue, soutiendrez les programmes liés aux normes ISO 14001, ISO 17025, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 et ISO 50001, et superviserez le laboratoire, l’environnement ainsi que le centre de traitement des eaux.


Responsabilités principales

  • Définir, avec le comité de direction, le plan stratégique SSE de l’usine et conseiller la direction sur les orientations, les objectifs et les plans d’action.
  • Diriger la gouvernance SSE en coprésidant le comité SSE, en participant au comité régional et en animant les rencontres de gestion pertinentes.
  • Assurer la conformité aux politiques d’Alcoa ainsi qu’aux exigences provinciales et fédérales, et agir comme personne-ressource auprès des instances concernées.
  • Coordonner les activités de prévention et de gestion SSE, suivre les indicateurs de performance et veiller à la compréhension et à l’application des protocoles, procédures et règlements de l’usine.
  • Mobiliser les équipes par des tournées terrains axés sur l’action et le coaching, et contribuer aux enquêtes formelles, réunions d’équipe et groupes de travail SSE.
  • Superviser les équipes, les budgets et les projets des secteurs sous votre responsabilité, notamment le laboratoire, l’environnement, le traitement des eaux, les projets capitaux SSE et le déploiement des normes ISO 45001 et ISO 50001.

Ce que vous apportez au rôle



  • Baccalauréat en ingénierie ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience démontrant une solide compréhension technique permettant de soutenir efficacement les décisions et les priorités du rôle.
  • Au moins cinq ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipes dans un environnement syndiqué, afin de mobiliser les employés, d’établir des attentes claires et de soutenir la performance.
  • Expérience pertinente en santé, sécurité et environnement dans un contexte industriel, vous permettant d’exercer un leadership visible en sécurité, de reconnaître les risques et de promouvoir des pratiques de travail sécuritaires.
  • Vision stratégique, jugement décisionnel et capacité à prioriser, afin de faire progresser plusieurs dossiers et projets dans des délais serrés.
  • Crédibilité, leadership de changement et solides habiletés de communication et de collaboration, pour conseiller la direction et favoriser une approche inclusive entre les équipes et les parties prenantes.
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Office, notamment Excel, Word et Outlook, et capacité d’analyse de données, pour suivre les indicateurs, appuyer les décisions et communiquer les résultats.
  • Une excellente maîtrise du français et une très bonne connaissance de l’anglais parlé et écrit sont requises. La connaissance de l'anglais est requise en raison de la nature des fonctions et des interactions régulières avec des intervenants ne maîtrisant pas le français dans un contexte nord-américain.
  • Disponibilité à voyager occasionnellement au Québec et à l’étranger, environ 10 % du temps.
