Job Summary:
The Java Microservices Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable microservices using Java to extend BloomReach functionalities and integrations. The role requires at least 2 years of BloomReach Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience, with a comprehensive understanding of its functionalities, APIs, architecture, and best practices. The candidate will collaborate with marketing, product, infrastructure, solutions architecture, and data engineering teams to translate marketing and social commerce requirements into effective technical solutions. The position also involves managing data quality, monitoring customer communication pipelines, maintaining platform consistency, and developing new components and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and maintainable Java microservices to enhance BloomReach capabilities.
• Utilize strong BloomReach expertise to manage platform functionalities, APIs, architecture, and integrations.
• Document, monitor, maintain, and develop new components within the BloomReach ecosystem.
• Manage CSV imports and exports, with future migration of these processes to BigQuery.
• Develop and maintain JINJA snippets related to different scenarios.
• Develop and maintain HTML templates.
• Perform data quality analysis within BloomReach.
• Set up data quality exports in collaboration with the Data Engineering team.
• Monitor the health of customer communication pipelines from a BloomReach perspective.
• Maintain consistency of BloomReach implementations across multiple projects and environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting the BloomReach platform.
• Monitor and maintain data quality within BloomReach.
• Create reports within BloomReach.
• Analyze complex marketing challenges and develop technical solutions using Java and BloomReach.
• Integrate BloomReach with other marketing platforms and systems using Java and relevant APIs.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Implement unit tests, conduct thorough testing of developed microservices, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Work closely with the UMP Infrastructure Team, Solutions Architect, Marketing, and Data Engineering teams.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong experience in Java development with a focus on microservices architecture.
• Minimum of 2+ years of BloomReach SME experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of BloomReach functionalities, APIs, architecture, and best practices.
• Experience with SQL and data management.
• Experience with JINJA or similar template programming languages.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and HTML.
• Experience with data quality analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience with CSV imports and exports.
• Experience building and integrating APIs.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with marketing technology platforms and tools such as HubSpot, Marketo, Hootsuite, or Outreach.
• Experience with BigQuery and data migration processes.
• Experience working with marketing, product, infrastructure, solutions architecture, and data engineering teams.
