Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated
Java Engineer with strong experience in the
Microsoft Azure ecosystem to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications, APIs, and integration services while leveraging modern Azure technologies and DevOps practices.
The ideal candidate combines solid Java development expertise with hands-on experience in Azure cloud services, containerization, infrastructure automation, and event-driven architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications and RESTful APIs.
- Build and deploy scalable cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
- Develop and manage containerized applications utilizing Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Integrate applications with messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka and MQ.
- Develop and support data integration solutions leveraging Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members when applicable.
Required Qualifications
Java Development
- 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
Microsoft Azure
- Proven experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications within Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with:Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure cloud infrastructure and services
DevOps & Cloud Engineering
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application development.
- Experience deploying and managing workloads in Kubernetes environments.
Messaging & Integration
- Experience working with event-driven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of messaging technologies such as:Apache Kafka
- IBM MQ or similar message queuing platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Databricks or similar big data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Prior experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
