Position Title: Analyst, Investments

Office Location: 22 St. Clair Ave. East, Toronto, ON

Office Model: Five Days in Office

Position Overview

The Investment Analyst plays a key role in evaluating and supporting the performance of existing assets and prospective investment opportunities. The position is responsible for providing financial analysis, valuation, underwriting, market research, and due diligence support for acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, redevelopment initiatives, and strategic capital decisions. Working closely with the Investments team, the Analyst contributes to investment recommendations, business case development, transaction execution, and ongoing asset performance monitoring to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Constructing, updating and assessing financial models in order to analyze properties being considered for both acquisition and disposition
  • Providing analysis on the existing portfolio as part of the ongoing dispositions program
  • Prepare, research and summarize market analysis and trends (such as demographics, technology, competition, supply, future infrastructure, etc.) for various projects, markets and assets under review
  • Reviewing, summarizing and incorporating third party findings in analyses (e.g. cost consultants, geotechnical reports, etc.);
  • Verifying all details about potential investments by completing necessary due diligence activities
  • Support group during the preparation of presentations and approval packages for management and investment committee approvals
  • Support the Transactions team during the closing of acquisition and disposition transaction as appropriate

Qualifications:
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate
  • Post-secondary education in commerce, finance, accounting, urban development, economics or real estate
  • Passion for real estate
  • Due diligence and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to deal with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
