Summary:
DMC is currently looking for a Intermediate Designer, Process Controls to join our team on a permanent basis, based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The Intermediate Designer, Process Controls will collaborate with other designers and engineers and will be responsible for designing and drafting various control, automation, and instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the team by actively participating in design and drafting control, automation, and instrumentation systems.
• Integrates communications into the PLC such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet IP and Devicenet
• Develops electrical, instrumentation and control drawings.
• Creates and maintains drawings using AutoCAD.
• Maintains electrical data, documentation, and drawings.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
• College Diploma or University Degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Codes, electrical engineering principles and practices, industry and regulatory codes and standards (OESC, NEC, CSA, IEEE, NFPA).
• Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
• Proficient in developing and drafting drawings with a keen interest in learning new techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong team player with ability to coordinate and work with other engineering disciplines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit is highly desirable.
• Electrical design experience in underground mining is a strong asset.

• Salary Range is expected to be between: $82,950.00 to $109,700.00
