Full Job Description
PIMCO is seeking an experienced Account Manager to help expand our Separately Managed Account (SMA) business and deepen relationships with leading advisory clients. Mission: Deliver exceptional sales, service and investment support to PIMCO's largest advisory clients while helping accelerate the growth of our SMA platform. In this highly visible role, you will combine fixed income market expertise, portfolio insight and relationship management to create meaningful outcomes for clients and the business. What you'll do: • Stay closely connected to financial markets, the global economic environment, asset allocation, investment vehicles and developments across the financial services industry • Build trusted client relationships through substantive interactions by phone, email, screen sharing and in-person meetings, including territory travel, industry conferences and due diligence engagements • Translate portfolio analysis and market developments into clear, relevant commentary for clients, prospects and internal partners • Partner with PIMCO Account Managers to position, sell and support municipal and taxable investment offerings • Advance sales efforts by reviewing trends, analyzing portfolios and developing client-ready reports and insights • Develop a strong understanding of each client's business model, priorities and evolving needs to deliver tailored support • Provide timely marketing perspective, product information, investment ideas and sales support with confidence and credibility • Take ownership of designated client segments, with the autonomy to identify opportunities, shape strategy and drive growth Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution; concentrations in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science or a related field are valued • 10+ years of relevant experience in the asset management or wealth management industry • A compelling communicator who can make complex investment concepts clear, relevant and actionable • Strong knowledge of PIMCO, or the ability and motivation to quickly learn PIMCO's investment platform, processes and culture • A goal-oriented mindset, sound judgment and a consistent record of following through on commitments • Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in understanding clients, colleagues and their priorities • A collaborative approach, combined with the initiative and confidence to lead projects independently • Demonstrated strength in building and sustaining long-term relationships • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously deepen market, product and client knowledge • Enthusiasm for contributing to a rapidly growing business and helping shape its next phase • Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses • CFA designation and/or MBA is a plus • Experience working with key partners in the SMA ecosystem is preferred PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance. Salary Range: $ 265,000.00 - $ 305,000.00
