The Work

ICF Next is seeking an Integrated Marketing & Communications Lead to support a high-visibility federal client within the national security space, focused on large-scale recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives. This is a fully onsite role within a secure government environment requiring close, day-to-day collaboration with client stakeholders.

The role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing and communications initiatives across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with recruitment goals, audience targeting, and employer brand standards.

The role operates across digital, social, paid media, email, web, and event channels to support cohesive campaign execution and consistent messaging. The position requires regular interaction with client stakeholders and participation in collaborative planning and execution activities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Job Location

Onsite - Washington, DC (government facility, Metro accessible). All work is performed onsite in a secure federal environment. Limited telework may be authorized only as permitted by the client and contract requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Support and execute integrated marketing and communications initiatives aligned with recruitment and employer branding objectives


  • Coordinate messaging and campaign execution across channels, including social media, paid media, web, email/SMS, and events


  • Collaborate onsite with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams (creative, analytics, media, and program leadership) to align priorities and deliverables


  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across all public-facing communications and platforms


  • Contribute to development of campaign plans, messaging frameworks, and content strategies


  • Support execution of integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels to ensure alignment of messaging and performance


  • Monitor campaign performance and contribute to KPI tracking, reporting, and optimization efforts to improve overall campaign effectiveness and audience engagement


  • Support development of presentations, briefings, and communications materials for stakeholders


  • Maintain collaboration tools, workflows, and documentation to support program coordination and transparency


  • Identify opportunities to improve integration across channels and enhance overall campaign effectiveness


Basic Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required


  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Washington, DC


  • U.S. citizenship required


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field


  • 3+ years of professional experience supporting marketing, communications, or integrated campaigns, preferably in a client-facing or agency environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal government or public-sector communications programs


  • Familiarity with recruitment marketing, employer branding, or talent acquisition campaigns


  • Experience working across multiple marketing channels (digital, social, paid media, email, events)


  • Experience supporting integrated campaigns and cross-functional coordination


  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, KPI reporting, and performance measurement

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,147.00 - $137,949.00
