Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Demand Forecasting Analyst

Here's the Gist:

Wolfspeed is looking for a Demand Forecasting Analyst to join our team. The Demand Forecasting Analyst will report to the Director, Demand Management and S&OP Transformation and will be responsible for leading all aspects of Demand Management, including consensus-based monthly demand forecasting process for assigned product lines, encompassing data gathering, analytics, forecasting, and reconciliation of variances. The Demand Forecasting Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders to reconcile the demand plan with operational, financial, and inventory objectives. They will also be responsible for driving and/or collaborating with other partners on buffer planning, inventory management, lead times and allocations for product lines they manage. This role is a critical bridge between business and operations.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business Unit leaders, Finance, and the Distribution teams to develop and own all aspects of a consensus demand forecast
  • Ownership for working with Sales Operations and Business Unit to prepare and present BU Demand in monthly BU Demand Meeting in support of S&OP cycle.
  • Reconcile the operational plan with sales, business strategy, manufacturing, and financial objectives
  • Proactively communicate significant changes in demand throughout the organization including key assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships with Sales, Distribution management, Operations, Finance, Product Line Management, and Marketing to enable success
  • Influence cross-functional team to promote optimal business decisions through data-driven insights and effective communication
  • Operate as a strategic thought leader/change agent, working collaboratively with various functions on priority initiatives that improve forecast accuracy, optimize inventories, and provide superior service to internal business partners and external customers
  • Drive continuous improvements across the Demand Management organization utilizing industry best practices and innovative methodologies
  • Manage Metrics to drive improvements: Forecasting accuracy, Forecast Attainment, Revenue attainment, Backlog disconnect reductions for BU and Buffer stock strategy,
  • Support strategic planning initiatives including Annual Operations Plan, Long Range Plan and market share performance.
  • Work with IT, Program team and team members on Continuous Improvement efforts in IBP and on the overall S&OP process for the organization.


This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Business analytics and Forecasting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience, with advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of data warehouse/business intelligence software tools (Tableau, Power BI or relevant data visualization tools)
  • Strong SAP IBP skills
  • Statistical Forecast development and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data sets into meaningful insights to influence optimal decisions with cross-functional partners
  • Experience with forecast methods and modeling.
  • Experience presenting a demand forecast to management in an S&OP environment
  • Experience creating charts, graphs and meaningful presentations to communicate demand changes, risk and opportunities for optimal decision making.
  • Experience with driving Forecast Accuracy improvements
  • Ability to communicate complex information to various levels of organization
  • Highly collaborative with an affinity for creative problem-solving solutions


Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • APICS, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF) certification preferred
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and end-to-end supply chain knowledge
  • Working knowledge: SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning software
  • Working knowledge of SAP IBP Demand Planning is a strong preference
  • Advanced knowledge: Tableau, Excel, Power BI or Relevant Data Visualization software.
