Full Job Description

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an Installation Technician and Jr. Data Analyst to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD/IC as part of the Infrastructure Services Enterprise Operations (ISEO) Program. Team members will support end-user technology refresh and system sustainment activities, including installation and support of existing and new hardware, software, and system configurations.  Responsibilities include assisting with data analytics functions such as reviewing and maintaining data outputs, generating automated portals and dashboards that support the system lifecycle process, as well as ensuring the organization’s IT infrastructure data is properly captured and maintained for reliably, and efficiently. Positions require collaboration in a team environment to meet mission needs and ensure full functionality of customer capabilities.

Primary Tasks

  • Perform installation, configuration, decommissioning, and support of customer end-user devices, including desktops (thin and thick clients), printers, monitors, KVMs, phones, scanners, and related peripherals.
  • Deploy new hardware and software and perform upgrades to existing systems while ensuring thorough cable management and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Confirm required security posture of all network and endpoint equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates, updates, IOS upgrades, and other security requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical, operational, and procedural documentation related to systems installation, operations, and security.
  • Support the coordination and scheduling of installation activities to support mission requirements without interrupting customer workflows.
  • Work together with technical teams, customers, and Leidos program and project managers to achieve project and program objectives.
  • Support the collection, cleaning, validation and analysis of data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Assist data scientist, identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business and operational decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Prepare data summaries, metrics, and ad hoc analyses in support of senior analysts and stakeholders.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis and data quality checks to support reliable reporting.
  • Document data sources, definitions, methodologies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and align analytical outputs with business objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.
  • Identify and implement improvements to data collection, reporting processes, and analytical workflows.

Basic Qualifications

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, including ServiceNow and Remedy.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of PC and network communications hardware and software in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of IT and network security best practices, protocols, and principles.  
  • Basic to intermediate technical skills in scripting, programming, or development tools such as HTML, Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, PowerShell, and Visual Studio.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and provide accurate reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with various levels of personnel, managers, customers, and technical team members.
  • Established teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple technical and organizational areas.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, statistics, computer science and business.
  • Foundational knowledge of data analysis concepts, including data cleaning, validation, and basic statistical methods.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data visualization.
  • Basic experience with SQL for querying and manipulating datasets.
  • Ability to interpret data and present findings in a clear and meaningful manner.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and analytical techniques.

Education

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 2 years, Associate's with 6 years, or High School Diploma with 8 years.  

Certifications

  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher). Specific “or higher” certifications for systems administrators include FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP.

Clearance:

  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required for Position OR TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a polygraph. 

Travel:

  • Potentially up to 25% worldwide, majority in continental U.S.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing teams of IT professionals and/or supporting medium to large scale enterprise environments.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
