Position Summary

The Red Gate Group is seeking an Industry Engagement Lead to serve as the primary liaison between government stakeholders and industry partners, supporting strategic initiatives that advance manufacturing innovation, technology transition, and research and development (R&D). This position is responsible for fostering collaboration across government, industry, and academia, identifying emerging technology opportunities, and providing programmatic and strategic support to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, industry partners, trade associations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support technology transition and innovation initiatives by identifying emerging capabilities and investment opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, manufacturing challenges, and legislative developments that may impact program priorities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic planning, technology investments, and executive decision-making.
  • Prepare executive briefings, reports, presentations, and other communications for senior leadership.
  • Support the development of reports, responses to leadership inquiries, and other program documentation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and industry engagement activities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional program management and strategic support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Military or industry experience may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience supporting research and development (R&D) programs or related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, strategic planning, and operational support.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging with senior government and industry stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
  • Familiarity with technology transition, manufacturing innovation, or industrial base initiatives.
  • Experience engaging with industry associations, government organizations, and research institutions.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports, briefings, and strategic communications.
  • Knowledge of federal legislative and policy processes related to research, development, and technology programs.
