The Team You'll Work With ...As the Industrial Electrician III, you will work directly with our talented Maintenance team to ensure the optimal functionality of our industrial electrical equipment through proactive maintenance and timely repairs. The Industrial Electrician III will be an experienced industrial electrical technician with the ability to also diagnose and repair mechanical parts including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, presses, kilns, automated systems, mobile equipment, and pumps. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is located onsite in Spokane, WA. This is an hourly position on our Day Shift (6 am - 3:30pm with occasional work on weekends, holidays, and overtime) and pays $36.00 - $41.00 dependent on experience, plus a discretionary bonus and generous stock options.
The opportunities you will have ... - Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Expert in troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing complex electrical components (motors, starters, variable frequency drives, relays, sensors) and performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- PLC & Automation Leadership: Lead the setup, programming adjustments, and high-level logic troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMI interfaces to minimize plant downtime.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, single-line electrical schematics, control diagrams, and manufacturer manuals; capable of calibrating control systems and instrumentation to ensure optimal machine performance.
- System Upgrades & Retrofits: Partner with engineering teams to plan, wire, and execute new equipment installations, system retrofits, and continuous improvement projects across high-speed production lines.
- Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) by coaching, mentoring, and upskilling apprentice and junior-level technicians in advanced electrical diagnostics and safety best practices.
- Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Utilize systematic problem-solving methods (5-Why, Fishbone) to identify root causes of chronic equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Problem Solving & Communication: Strong problem-solving skills, able to systematically identify issues, engage with operators, and maintain clear documentation of work performed in the CMMS.
- Safety & Compliance Leadership: Strictly adhere to and enforce OSHA Safety Regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70E standards), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and Arc Flash safety protocols during all work.
- Equipment Operation & Teamwork: Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes; contributes to team goals with a collaborative approach, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

About You ...- Proven expertise in PLC troubleshooting, programming, and diagnosis (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron) to analyze ladder logic, debug drive faults, and resolve automated system errors.
- Hands-on experience configuring, tuning, and maintaining heat control systems (PID temperature controllers, SCR power controllers, thermocouples, RTDs, and heating element loops).
- Extensive experience installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical actuators (rotary/linear actuators, modulating control valves, motorized dampers, and position feedback loops using 4-20mA or 0-10V signals).
- Proficiency with process control instrumentation and signal calibration (4-20mA current loops, VFD feedback, digital positioners, and Fieldbus/EtherNet communication protocols).
- Proven experience in industrial electrical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software).
- Experience in maintaining industrial equipment

- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
- Valid driver's license.
