Full Job Description
TEiC Services is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our growing Industrial Construction team.

This highly visible role is responsible for developing accurate and competitive project estimates, supporting the full pre-construction process, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and partnering with operations teams to ensure successful project execution. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in securing new work and supporting change management on active projects.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare detailed and conceptual cost estimates for heavy industrial construction projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and equipment installation scopes.
  • Develop subcontractor bid packages, manage the solicitation process, and evaluate and level proposals.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to align project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution strategies.
  • Maintain labor, equipment, and material cost databases and unit pricing information.
  • Support proposal development, scheduling, and bid reviews with company leadership.
  • Participate in project turnover meetings and provide estimating documentation to construction teams upon award.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, schematics, and other technical documents.
  • Apply industry knowledge, commercial awareness, and market trends to develop competitive estimates.


Requirements
What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of construction estimating experience in heavy industrial environments.
  • Prior experience developing estimates for projects valued at $15M or greater.
  • Understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation construction scopes.
  • Experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project scheduling software; Primavera P6 and InEight experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
