Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an ICBM-S Integration & Test Systems Engineering Manager 2. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.

This position may offer a competitive relocation package.

People leadership for a Minuteman III ICBM Sustainment systems engineering organization, to include performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning.
• Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the group.
• Provide ownership of and direction to the processes used by the group.
• Create a vision for an engineering team and work to make that vision a reality.
• Provide proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customers.
• Support department initiatives, recruiting, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership.
• Lead a diverse team of engineers performing project development, technical requirements review, system support, planning and sustainment for a diverse set of products in the missile, air and space domains.
• Responsible for the strategic implementation of skills and labor mix; employee development; mentoring; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations to ensure successful task completion and customer satisfaction.
• Responsibilities also include horizontal integration of best practices across the organization; maintaining cognizance over technical activities; and ensuring execution of project statement of work and baselines.

What You'll Get To Do:

This manager position will focus all efforts on technical projects and assignment with the ICBM-S contract.

The selected candidate will be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager/Director as well as the ICBM-S Program Manager and Director for performance at both the project and task level.

The successful candidate will be experienced in systems engineering with one or more of the following specific skills in Systems Engineering execution and adaptable for manager level leadership.

As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on an SDS project or IPT (80% technical scope not a part of the requisition)

The successful candidate will be experienced in systems engineering with one or more of the following specific skills: Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo), Requirements Management (DOORS), Verification Planning, and Interface definition and planning.

Essential functions include:
• Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with senior management, peers, and employees.
• Provide ownership for the people, processes, and tools that support business areas and programs in achieving their missions.
• Control Account Management duties.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience or Master's degree and 6 years of related experience
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance, Secret level, at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
• 5 years of experience supporting system engineering, integration and test
• Experience as CAM, which for this position, will include estimating/planning budget, weekly and monthly labor actuals tracking, variance analysis reporting, and developing/implementing/follow-through with estimate to completion strategies

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
• 4+ years with hands on experience in any or all of ICBM Weapon System logistics, operations, security, and subsystem integration; 5 tears if ICBM experience
• Experience with the development, management, and traceability of AF configured item requirements and specifications
• Familiar with leading a team of test engineers and producing test plans, procedures, and reports associated with ICBM configured items
• At least 1 year leading project(s) and/or driving performance against schedule across a diver team of Systems Engineering Integration and Specialty (Safety/Surety, NH&S, Configuration Management, Materials/Corrosion, Parts/Logistics, and Environmental) team members
• In-depth (tech volume labor descriptions, labor hours, rationale/justification) estimate development experience for programs
• CAM certification, NG internal or other commercial/education institution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused mindset
• Ability to develop and assign clear tasks appropriate for the appropriate Systems Engineering discipline and overseeing execution to successful technical completion within schedule constraints
• Competency in supporting Chief Engineering office with independent technical reviews of engineered results/products developed by ICBM Sustainment programs/projects across a broad spectrum of systems including electrical/electronics, communications, and mechanical
• Coordinate and develop detailed metrics and summary presentation for management reviews
• Basic (labor hours and task description) estimate development experience for small (<$500K value) programs

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
