Full Job Description
The North America Controls Sales Leader is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals driving innovative controls solutions for large customers. We require an experienced and aggressive business development professional with solid building automation systems knowledge, exceptional direct selling, demand creation, and account development experience.
You will lead a high-performing team focused on closing new business and account opportunities. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including customers, product development, and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities:
• Acts as the primary contact with the largest and/or most strategic prospects, develops a professional relationship with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customer needs within the bound of contracted scope.
• Manages business development activities for strategic prospects to support the business strategy defined by senior executive level leadership.
• Pursue major bid opportunities, presents final bid responses to team, leads team in negotiations with potential large/complex customers and builds and maintains customer relationships to win projects.
• Leads the relationship for potential large/strategic prospects to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.
• Leads team to prepare/write estimates and proposals and gain internal approvals to sell and bid
• Present new business proposals for major/strategic prospects, negotiate value, and address resistance in order to develop business.
• Directs and advises the management team representative on prospective target accounts.
• Constantly reviews and develops personal pipeline and customer log. Hunting for opportunities. Establishes personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ Years of Building Automation Controls Sales Experience
• 7+ Years of Sales Management Experience
• Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record in building automation sales.
• Experience in selling solutions.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
