C.H. Robinson is seeking an HR Business Partner Manager to support our Enterprise Strategy & Innovation and Technology, and Robinson Managed Solutions (RMS) teams.  In this individual contributor role you will support business leaders to impact and influence business strategy, people initiatives, and aide our leadership team to be effective in a changing environment. You will leverage people management tools and resources to align with business goals and personal development. You will partner directly with business leadership to understand their business needs, focusing on talent and leadership development, and facilitating alignment of HR initiatives and business strategy through partnership with HR Centers of Expertise. Your ability to navigate “the grey” and drive groups to make timely decisions through effective facilitation and communication skills will set you up for success in this role, as well as your ability to collaborate across groups and influence all levels of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with executive and senior leaders as a trusted advisor to align people strategies with business objectives and drive organizational success
  • Influence workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies that enable long-term business growth and transformation
  • Lead talent management initiatives, including succession planning, talent reviews, calibration sessions, and leadership development programs
  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, career growth, and organizational effectiveness
  • Use workforce analytics, talent metrics, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and inform strategic decisions
  • Drive change management and communication strategies that support business initiatives, organizational changes, and workforce transitions
  • Collaborate with leaders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to develop and implement solutions that enhance employee engagement, culture, and business performance
  • Facilitate leadership assessment and development through feedback processes, talent evaluations, and targeted development planning
  • Advise leaders on team effectiveness, performance improvement, and strategic talent decisions to strengthen organizational capability
  • Champion an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture by partnering with leaders to advance employee experience and DE&I initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or related degree
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working directly with senior and/or executive level leaders
  • Minimum 2 years' experience supporting a global business population
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Previous Human Resource Business Partner experience
  • Experience working in the technology industry
  • Demonstrated experience consulting, influencing without authority, effectively resolving conflict, and thriving in a fast-paced, decentralized, matrixed, global environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial considerations, including budgets, P&L, etc.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and coaching others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience
  • Strong strategic orientation, business savvy, critical thinking skills, and ability to evaluate broad impacts of work
  • Strong strategic planning, problem solving/critical thinking skills, and ability to execute plan
  • Recognized organizational skills and ability to manage competing, high priority demands during times of organizational change
  • Excellent planning and project management skills with strong ability to effectively manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, including executives
  • Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization

Compensation Range

$84,800.00 - $191,000.00

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
