Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our House Supervisor (RN), you will serve as the clinical leader and administrative representative for the entire facility during your assigned shift. You will be the primary decision-maker responsible for nursing operations, hospital throughput, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Every day you will monitor hospital-wide clinical activity, manage staffing resources to match patient acuity, and provide the leadership necessary to ensure a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for our patients, families, and healthcare staff. You will act as the critical link between departments, ensuring that our high standards of clinical excellence are met during every patient encounter.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in nursing leadership, demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills under pressure, and be able to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. You must be a confident mentor who is comfortable navigating high-acuity situations, managing staffing logistics, and ensuring full compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership & Operations: Direct nursing personnel across all patient care units to ensure seamless hospital operations and optimal patient flow.Resource Allocation: Actively assess and deploy resources to meet staffing needs and manage real-time hospital throughput.Quality & Compliance: Oversee patient care delivery to ensure strict adherence to internal hospital policies, clinical standards, and state/federal regulatory requirements.Staffing & Development: Monitor and document staffing levels, identify gaps, and provide coaching and performance feedback to foster nursing staff development.Communication & Continuity: Serve as the central point of contact for patients, families, and physicians to maintain clear communication and continuity of care.Crisis Management: Provide direct clinical support and leadership during critical patient interventions, emergency responses, and urgent hospital-wide situations.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
- Minimum of One (1) year of leadership experience required.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS)
- ACLS
- Other credentials or credential modules may be required.
