Full Job Description
Job title: HEVA Dupixent Business Partner Respiratory Diseases
  • Location: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ

Dupixent (dupilumab) represents one of the most significant advances in the treatment of Type 2 inflammatory diseases in a generation. As a first-in-class biologic targeting the IL-4/IL-13 pathway, Dupixent has transformed the standard of care for patients living with moderate-to-severe asthma and, most recently, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) - becoming the first biologic approved for COPD with a Type 2 inflammatory phenotype.

Sanofi is committed to maximizing the full potential of Dupixent across the respiratory space, building a robust and differentiated evidence base that demonstrates its transformative value to patients, payers, and health systems. Through a focused and rapidly expanding body of clinical and real-world evidence, Sanofi aims to address critical gaps in care and deliver meaningful, potentially life-changing treatment options for the millions of patients living with Type 2 inflammatory respiratory conditions who continue to face significant unmet need.

This role is primarily focused on Dupixent in COPD and Asthma. Depending on business need, the incumbent may also be called upon to support evidence generation activities for other assets within the respiratory or broader Sanofi portfolio.

This role is accountable for leading US HEOR strategy and execution for Dupixent in respiratory disease - with a primary focus on COPD and Asthma - serving as the primary US HEVA point of contact for the portfolio and partnering cross-functionally to drive the generation, translation, and dissemination of high-quality, decision-relevant evidence to support access in the United States. The role sits at the heart of one of Sanofi's most strategically significant and commercially important portfolios, requiring a combination of deep scientific expertise in respiratory disease and Type 2 inflammation, strategic thinking, and a sophisticated understanding of the US payer and market access landscape.

You will work in the Dupixent Respiratory team of the Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) department. The HEVA department gathers a wealth of expertise including experts in Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Indirect Treatment Comparison & Network Meta-Analysis (ITC/NMA), Modelling, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Evidence Synthesis, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and generation of Real World Evidence (RWE). Within HEVA Dupixent Respiratory, you will join a team responsible for HEVA projects across multiple indications at various stages of development and lifecycle management.

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and Specialty Care neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you'll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

Main Responsibilities

This role operates independently with minimal supervision, working in concert with management direction in accordance with defined functional policies, budgetary guidelines, company values, ethics, and applicable law. The incumbent mentors junior team members on a case-by-case basis and is expected to develop and maintain peer relationships to establish HEVA as a recognized expert in HEOR.

Strategic Business Impact
  • Develop and implement US payer-specific HEVA strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional team members to support the launch and lifecycle management of Dupixent in COPD and Asthma
  • Drive measurable business impact through execution of HEVA tactics that directly support commercial objectives and market access goals compliantly and efficiently
  • Execute comprehensive US HEVA tactics for the Dupixent Respiratory portfolio, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring alignment with broader portfolio objectives
  • Partner with commercial teams to translate HEVA insights into actionable business strategies that effectively position Dupixent within the competitive US respiratory market
  • Partner with access and medical team members to generate and disseminate actionable, high-impact evidence that addresses US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration in a competitive market
  • Develop business-relevant US research agendas through cross-functional input and alignment, ensuring evidence priorities are reflected in broader Sanofi planning documents, including the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP)
  • Set HEOR evidence generation priorities independently for assigned Dupixent Respiratory indications and translate Target Value Propositions and US market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans that address the unmet needs of payers, providers, and health systems
  • Support evidence generation activities for other assets within the respiratory or broader Sanofi portfolio as directed by business need

Internal Partnerships and Senior Management Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams - including commercial, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access - to ensure pricing and access decisions are aligned with the demonstrable value of Dupixent in COPD and Asthma

  • Communicate complex health economics concepts and strategic recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders with clarity and impact, including presentations to senior leadership
  • Influence key business decisions through data-driven insights and strategic HEVA recommendations
  • Ensure clinical development plans for Dupixent Respiratory indications are designed to deliver true differentiation aligned to Sanofi's best-in-class or first-in-class ambition, with particular attention to US payer value demonstration
  • Contribute to US launch readiness planning for Dupixent Respiratory indications, serving as the HEVA subject matter expert across internal governance forums and brand team meetings

Health Economics Research and Evidence Generation
  • Lead the design and execution of Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR) activities for Dupixent in COPD and Asthma, spanning multiple indications at various stages of development and lifecycle management
  • Oversee the design, execution, and publication of high-quality HEOR studies - including economic modeling, database analysis, observational research, Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) development and validation, systematic literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and AMCP dossier development
  • Apply proficiency in economic modeling and COAs to generate evidence that is compelling to US payers, HTA bodies, and other decision-makers in the respiratory space

  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive real-world evidence strategies that support product lifecycle management across the Dupixent Respiratory portfolio

  • Collaborate with external research partners and key opinion leaders to advance HEVA strategy and tactical plans for Dupixent in COPD and Asthma
  • Work with the team lead to engage with external evidence bodies (ICER, PDAB, IRA) and apply knowledge of their requirements to shape evidence generation and value demonstration strategies for the Dupixent Respiratory portfolio
  • Build and sustain productive working relationships with patient advocacy organizations in the respiratory disease space
  • Manage HEVA research investments and vendor relationships for assigned Dupixent Respiratory indications, ensuring delivery of evidence generation priorities within budget constraints

Leadership & Team Contribution

  • Anticipate communication needs across cross-functional audiences and pre-empt issues with timely and effective action
