Role SummaryWe're looking for a Head of Partnerships to own how Gyde partners with other organizations to drive inbound organic client leads and referrals, with an initial focus on Medicare and small group employee benefits.
Gyde grows by acquiring brokerages and bringing them onto a shared platform. Our platform improves conversion rates and frees up broker capacity. Your job is to build proprietary partnerships that fill that freed-up time. This could range from developing relationships with local non-profits up to more complex partnerships with credit unions and healthcare providers. Sometimes you'll build a partnership from scratch; other times you'll help an agency owner scale a referral motion they already have. As we add agencies, this becomes a core part of how we help them grow.
You'll own both the strategy and its execution, partnering closely with our COO, Marketing, Partner Growth, Engineering, and agency leadership to define targets, launch partnerships, and build lead routing. Because insurance is regulated, our in-house Legal and Compliance team will help shape how each partnership is structured.
This role is ideal for a builder who has run a partnerships, growth strategy, or enterprise sales function at a healthcare, fintech, or growth stage company. You're as comfortable advising the executive team on strategy as you are negotiating partnerships, working with legal and finance, and implementing solutions with the tech team.
Key Responsibilities- Own Gyde's partnerships strategy, including which partner types, markets, and deal structures to prioritize
- Grow local referral partnerships in every agency market (senior centers, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, CPAs, payroll providers), launching new ones with agency leadership and helping owners scale the relationships they already have
- Source, negotiate, and launch larger strategic partnerships with credit unions, health systems, and provider groups that reach Medicare-eligible individuals and small employers at scale, working with Legal and Finance on terms and economics
- Partner with Engineering on lead routing, attribution, and reporting, so partner leads reach the right broker quickly and are tracked through to a written policy
- Partner with Marketing on co-branded materials, campaigns, and events, such as Medicare education seminars and employer benefits workshops
- Manage partners after launch and work with Partner Growth to bring acquired agencies' existing referral relationships into the program
- Build a repeatable playbook (partner criteria, standard agreements, launch checklists, reporting), use AI to run lean, and grow the team as the channel scales
KPIs and Outcomes- Local Partnerships Live: Active referral partnerships, each sending a steady flow of Medicare and small group leads
- Strategic Partnerships Signed: Close and launch larger partnerships with credit unions, health systems, or provider groups
- Partner-Sourced Policies: Turn partner leads into written policies at a conversion rate at or above our other lead channels
What you bring and who you are- 8+ years in partnerships, growth strategy, or enterprise sales at a healthcare, insurance, fintech, or growth-stage company, with a track record of building partnerships that drove measurable lead or revenue growth
- Experience in Medicare, employee benefits, insurance distribution, or adjacent healthcare channels preferred
- Command of deal mechanics: you can model a partnership's economics, draft a term sheet, and work through contracts with Legal and Finance
- Comfort working in a regulated industry and partnering closely with compliance teams
- Credibility across audiences; you can pitch a health system executive, coach an agency owner on growing referrals, and win over a senior center director with equal ease
- Fluency with AI tools, and a habit of using them to scale research, outreach, and reporting instead of adding headcount
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership; analytically rigorous and technically comfortable
- Ability to travel 10-50%, including to agency markets and partner sites
