Head of Advisor Platforms & Strategic Partnerships - Alpha Platform & SoftwareState Street Alpha Platform & Software seeks to enable wealth advisors and their investment managers to achieve better outcomes for their clients and themselves, thereby enabling revenue growth across all areas of State Street. The Head of Advisor Platforms & Strategic Partnerships will contribute to realizing this vision by assuming responsibility for managing and growing the Alpha Platform & Software Wealth Business - $100M (~20% of CRD revenue) book of business with 45+ clients and 20+ headcount. The Head of Advisor Platforms will be accountable for all aspects of CRD Wealth including revenue/sales, implementations, product, technology, engineering and client support.
In addition, as a leader within a newly formed organization, the Head of Advisor Platforms will play a pivotal role in
establishing, cultivating, and scaling strategic partnerships - both internally across State Street's business units and externally with technology providers, distribution partners, fintechs, and industry consortia - to accelerate growth, expand market reach, and strengthen the platform's competitive position.
Key Responsibilities- Serving as the recognized leader of the CRD Wealth business
- Leading CRD's wealth software strategy by thinking holistically about the industry ecosystem, focusing on client needs, the competitive landscape, and regulatory trends
- Owning global P&L for CRD Wealth business, including product development, sales and bookings, implementations, client support and identifying potential M&A opportunities
- Defining and executing a strategic partnership agenda for the new organization - identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and operationalizing alliances, integrations, and ecosystem relationships that create differentiated value and unlock new revenue streams
- Building and managing a partnership portfolio across Alpha Platform & Software vendors, custodians, data providers, distribution channels, and fintech innovators, ensuring alignment with the platform's growth strategy and target business outcomes
- Leading market expansion domestically and globally, including identifying potential markets for growth
- Leveraging strategic partnerships to enter new markets, extend platform capabilities, and reach new client segments more rapidly than organic build alone would allow
- Developing and nurturing high-value talent through identifying, attracting, coaching, and retaining employees to support the business
- Driving business cases and deploying investments to expand the platform and achieve target business benefits and foster business growth
- Structuring partnership business cases, commercial models, and joint go-to-market plans, and overseeing the governance and performance management of key alliances
- Bringing industry credibility with senior leadership of tier one firms and other centers of influence
- Fostering strong relationships with senior and executive management for the largest, most complex clients
- Serving as the primary executive sponsor and relationship owner for strategic partners, representing the new organization at the most senior levels and positioning State Street as a partner of choice in the wealth ecosystem
- Navigating complex organizational situations to build a common understanding and align on the path to improve the end-to-end client experience and outcomes
- Orchestrating cross-functional collaboration and alignment across a newly established organization to integrate partners seamlessly into the operating model, product roadmap, and client experience
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with peers across Wealth Services and the enterprise
Salary Range: $300,000 - $412,500 Annual
