The RoleJob Overview:Reporting to the Head of Internal Sales, the Head of Advisor Consultant Development leads the Advisor Consultant development engine for Internal Sales, with training and development as its primary responsibility. This role owns the path from onboarding through Regional Manager readiness by ensuring new hires enter with a strong foundation, clear expectations, consistent sales messaging, and a structured progression from new hire to productive territory owner to future client-facing professional.
We'll trust you to:- Own the Advisor Consultant development path from onboarding through Regional Manager readiness, including the training curriculum, development standards, readiness framework, and progression milestones.
- Manage new Advisor Consultants in training and through their first year in production, providing regular coaching, feedback, call reviews, development planning, and performance accountability.
- Lead onboarding and training programs that build firm, market, product, sales process, CRM/data, client conversation, presentation, business-planning, and territory-management capability.
- Partner with HCM and Sales leadership on Advisor Consultant recruiting, hiring strategy, candidate assessment, interview discipline, and front-end talent pipeline development.
- Oversee summer intern program execution as a source of future Advisor Consultant talent and a way to reinforce firm culture and leadership development.
- Partner with Sales leadership and the Head of Advisor Consultant Performance to identify and develop future Regional Manager candidates, using performance feedback and observed behaviors to inform development priorities.
- Model an inclusive, accountable, learning-oriented culture focused on coaching, development, innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance.
You'll need to have:- SIE, Series 7 and 66, nice to have Series 24 or willing to attain
- 7-8 years of firm or relevant industry experience, with success in Internal Sales, Advisor Consultant development, sales leadership, training, or a related client-facing role.
- Strong understanding of markets, the firm, the industry, sales process, Regional Manager partnership model, and Advisor Consultant responsibilities.
- Proven ability to build training and development programs, coach early-career talent, set clear expectations, and hold people accountable with trust and credibility.
- Strong facilitation, communication, listening, feedback, judgment, empathy, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to use CRM, activity, and performance data to diagnose development gaps, improve training, manage ambiguity, build scalable programs, and drive continuous improvement.
Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $135,000 - $155,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
