Hardware PlatformTechnical Leader Responsibilities
Project Darwin combines Vantors Precision 3D mapping technology with proprietary hardware to dramatically increase resistance to electronic warfare while maintaining the accuracy of navigation offered by Vantors basemaps. Project Darwin aims to establish a true startup-like environment with a competitive compensation package while offering rapid build capability through Vantors Tensorglobe platform as well as direct access to Vantors extensive network of customers.
The technical leader for this project will be responsible forthe following:
- System design, architecture and tradeoffs. This candidate will be involved in all aspects of conceptualizing the design, and turning it into physical reality
- Interviewing junior candidates, selecting and forming the team
- Design implementation, testing, production rollout
- Direct engagement with key customers
- Working closely with the software lead to launch initial prototypeswith challenging timelines and rapid execution
Experienceand Background
- Hands-on expertise inautonomous drone hardware design and implementation as a tech lead
- Extensive knowledge of EW resistant RF design
- Knowledge ofsymmetric and asymmetric encryption and RF transmission
- Extensive familiarity with common drone HW/SW operating platforms such aArdupilotandPX4
- Prior startup or bootstrap projects in this domain preferred
- US Citizen required, ability to hold clearance desirable
- Willing to relocate to Denver area
Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidates experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.
The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $135,000.00 - $180,000.00 - $198,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
