Job SummaryThe Hardware Integration and Test Engineer is responsible for the hands-on integration, bring-up, and testing of satellite hardware systems and components. This role focuses on electrical and hardware validation, troubleshooting, and verification activities throughout the development and manufacturing lifecycle. The engineer will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure hardware performs as designed.
The position is 100% onsite, located in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities - Perform hardware bring-up, functional testing, and verification of satellite electrical systems, circuit boards, and assemblies.
- Integrate newly built hardware into larger subsystem and system-level configurations.
- Use electrical engineering lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DMMs, etc.) to validate and troubleshoot hardware.
- Analyze electrical schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams to support integration and debug activities.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve hardware defects at the unit and system level.
- Develop detailed hardware test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
- Document test results, debug findings, and provide progress reports to engineering leadership.
- Support updates to training materials and technical documentation related to hardware integration and logistics support.
- Ensure all test processes comply with required industry and aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with vendors to review electrical and mechanical interface specifications.

Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar with coursework in digital/analog circuit design.
- Minimum two years of hands-on experience with hardware integration, hardware bring-up, circuit board testing, or electrical system verification.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using electrical lab equipment during debugging and test activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 for communication and collaboration.
Desired Skills and Experience- Experience with hardware system engineering lifecycle tools.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium or similar.
- Familiarity with Python, Linux, Bash, or similar for test automation and data collection.
- Hands-on circuit board troubleshooting, power-on testing, signal probing, or mixed-signal debug experience.
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods standing or walking on hard surfaces
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Sedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves being stationary most of the time, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
- Computer Work - daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
Travel RequirementAbility to travel < 10%
Shift/ScheduleOnsite work Monday through Friday; day shift generally working 8am to 5pm
