Job Summary:

Responsible for reviewing product requirement documentation (PRD) and create a feasibility study to implement requirements. Once product is approved, create Technical Product Specification (TPS) document.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Schematic design based upon TPS and feedback to board design group concerning component placement.
  • Direct and review PCB layout.
  • Supply product specification to manufacturing and supply feedback during product initial release.
  • Product sustaining during product lifecycle.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies and develops recommendations accordingly.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements.
  • Stay up to date on company products and project goals- identify hidden barriers and opportunities.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience, Skills & Abilities:
  • 3+ years of schematic design experience
  • Knowledge of high-speed PB design techniques
  • Basic knowledge of "C" programming language
  • Understanding of networking: Ethernet, Fiber, PCI based designs.
