Responsibilities

  • Ensure relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly, aligning local procurement activities with division strategy.
  • Implement programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery according to group/business area procurement guidelines.
  • Secure full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform for sharing supplier information and identifying high-performing suppliers.
  • Manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts.
  • Ensure material availability for daily manufacturing and planned inventory levels.
  • Be the Tactical leader for the Supply Chain, coordinating consistent practices across various manufacturing lines.
  • Implement methods and techniques to ensure cost-effective logistics and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements.

Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Supply Chain Manager - Drive Products

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.

The work model for the role is: On Site in New Berlin, WI.

This role is contributing to the Motion business, Drive Products Division, Supply Chain Management function in the United States. Main stakeholders are Planning and fulfillment, Category Management, and Manufacturing

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Ensuring relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly and ensuring alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
  • Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
  • Securing full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
  • Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts
  • Ensuring material availability for daily manufacturing and planned inventory levels .
  • Be the Tactical leader for the Supply Chain - Coordinate Consistent Supply Chain practices across the various manufacturing lines within the business.
  • Implements methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements.
