Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly strategic Global Market Manager to help shape the future of our Arthroscopy portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to influence global portfolio strategy, drive innovation, and bring differentiated solutions to patients around the world. Based in Andover, US, you will work at the center of a global, cross functional network with real impact on long term franchise growth.

What will you be doing?
  • Supporting the development and execution of the Global Portfolio Strategy to drive long term franchise growth
  • Developing and owning the Global Product Plan including pipeline prioritization, new product introductions, indication expansion, and lifecycle management
  • Identifying unmet clinical needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform innovation and strategy
  • Acting as the global marketing lead throughout the New Product Development process, translating customer insights into clear product and commercialization requirements
  • Defining product positioning and value propositions to support global growth and differentiation
  • Building business cases, financial models, and market forecasts to support investment decisions
  • Partnering closely with regional and country marketing teams to execute global strategies and drive adoption
  • Supporting downstream marketing teams with campaigns, training, and sales enablement
  • Working with Demand Planning to ensure forecast accuracy, supply alignment, and effective lifecycle management
  • Engaging directly with customers and key opinion leaders through labs, tradeshows, and site visits to integrate feedback into strategy and development


What will you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, with the majority within the medical device industry
  • At least 3 years of marketing experience, preferably within orthopaedics
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, global, cross functional environment
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong customer focus with demonstrated success building relationships with key opinion leaders and internal partners
  • Results oriented mindset with high levels of initiative and accountability
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20 to 30 percent

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $106,500 - 159,500 USD annually (or hourly) The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
