Full Job Description
Position Summary: The General Manager will lead and manage the facility supporting production, distribution, safety, team member experience, quality, and cost. In alignment with our shared vision, the leader should be able to effectively champion initiatives to drive productivity through commercial, operations, and financial excellence.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Provide development of staff leaders to guide plants and support organizations
  • Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements
  • Lead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance, and safety
  • Establish and maintain the plant(s) vision for success
  • Facilitate the leadership team in strategic decision-making and problem-solving
  • Provides effective leadership and promotes good working relationships across all functions in the facilities and for the company
  • Responsible for the overall production, distribution, safety, quality, performance, and profitability of assigned operations
  • Leads by example thus setting a positive tone for the organization, creating a motivating work environment and cooperation across functions regardless of market conditions
  • Coordinate business activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing and production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Establish and monitor overall performance for production and quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required; 5 years of P&L experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in production management, with at least two in a manufacturing management position, is preferable
  • Prior P&L and commercial responsibility is required
  • Expertise defining and optimizing process flow
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all team members at all levels within the facility
  • Must have strong leadership, interpersonal, and discretionary skills
  • Solid understanding of construction trades and quality practices, codes, regulations, etc.
