Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and cardiovascular assessments
- Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow-up visits
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitors
- Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications, and preventive care strategies
- Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, APPs, and ancillary departments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in shared call coverage as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current NP or PA certification
- Eligible for Maine licensure
- Cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Pay TransparencyCentral Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $124,000 to $136,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
