Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

 

Summary:

The G1 Strategic Planner V shall develop strategies for executing process improvements within the AMC G1.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Write Army orders by distilling information from HQDA Execution Orders pertinent for command orders IAW Army doctrine and assist division chiefs with internal strategic planning and policy and program revisions.
  • Assist with compiling, publishing, and overseeing a comprehensive analysis for G1 policies.
  • The contractor is responsible for synchronizing updates to the AMC People Strategy, AMC Civilian Implementation Plan, and Organic Industrial Base Modernization Implementation Plan.
  • Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of management policies, programs and procedures related to subordinate organizations, functions, staffing and workload.
  • Will lead strategic messaging efforts by drafting templates for Senior G1 leadership.
  • Initiate In-Progress Reviews (IPR) with AMC subordinate commands to integrate formulated policies, procedures and best practices pertaining to people strategy actions across AMC G1.
  • Participate as an AMC representative to solicit and provide information for all relevant people’s programs and priorities.
  • Provide slides as needed to discern complex programs with concise information.
  • Provide analytical results and/or recommendations from HQDA engagements, initiatives and future people strategy concepts.
  • Prepare briefings, develop reports, and identify best practices for AMC G1 strategic planning including preparation for meetings or other events.
  • Develop and propose people topics for AMC Senior Leaders meeting with Army Senior Leaders IRT Army people strategy to include all programs under this umbrella.
  • Will craft responses to frequently asked questions as a part of the G1 Strategic Messaging effort.
  • Provide basic staff products, including Excel worksheets, information papers, and briefing presentations (PPT).
  • Write Operations, Fragmentary and Execution Orders pertaining to AMC G1 People Strategy and additional HQDA initiatives as implemented.
  • Responsible for calendar synchronization, integration of staff products, organization of strategic messaging, and operational integration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Shall have strong analytical and business acumen skills to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement within the AMC workforce for leadership decision-making.
  • Shall have knowledge of AMC mission responsibilities and organizational awareness coupled with the subordinate command critical capabilities for researching, providing analytical impacts and efforts, upon which command-wide programs, policies, and procedures involving the Army People Strategy will be predicated.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in strategic studies, Business Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior-level experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any related professional certifications.

 

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000 to $170,000.
