Job SummaryIn this role, you will evolve the Studio Orchestrator platform to better serve our content production partners in the live action, animation and visual effects domains. This will involve extending the platform’s capabilities and integrating it with the digital content creation (DCC) tools commonly used in the professional VFX and animation industry (Nuke, Maya, Photoshop, etc.), as well as asset management systems and various data storage platforms.
About the Studio Orchestrator Team The Studio Orchestrator Team develops and operates a robust platform designed for building media workflows and pipeline-backed production tools. This platform provides core building blocks and built-in content security, so that pipeline builders can focus on solving production problems rather than managing infrastructure. Currently, this platform is foundational to managing and transforming hundreds of petabytes of footage, integrating GenAI and ML model capabilities into content production, and powering Netflix's animation and visual effects initiatives.
Who you areHave strong Python skills and experience with another language, preferably Java
Proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation
Working experience with RDBMS and messaging systems such as Kafka
Working experience with modern frontend frameworks, especially React, and are proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Familiarity with the professional VFX and animation industry is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $388,000.00 - $558,000.00.
