Job DescriptionThe Developer will be part of a product team of designers and full-stack developers (Java back-end) developing a web and mobile application for use by the Front Line Associates & Managers in the field.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead products through iterative design, development, and delivery
- Maintain a user-centered approach in design & development perspective and practice
- Work as a collaborative team member with internal customers, designers, and fellow engineer
- Apply best practice approaches and guide the product team through the process
- Rapidly iterate on prototypes and working applications
QualificationsRequirements:
- Have experience with and curiosity of Agile and Lean philosophies
- Experience working with small teams to ship products to market
- Have experience developing full-service consumer, employee, and business applications
- Experience with designing and refactoring complex systems
- Language agnostic and experienced polyglot
- Passion for Working Software and SOLID principles
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Interest in working in a pair-programming environment
- 3-5 years of experience working with Java/Kotlin
- Experience with Spring Boot, and API design
- Fundamental understanding and experience working with JPA data
- Working knowledge of Message Brokers and Messaging subsystems (experience working with Kafka a strong plus)
- Strong understanding of best practices creating/working with Micro-services
- 3-5 years' experience or equivalent in software development
- Deep understanding of design patterns and applying them in production environments
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science discipline (preferred, but not required)
- Passion for enabling team members
