OverviewEvery merchant Breeze takes on creates an opportunity to grow and real financial exposure to manage. We're hiring a Financial Underwriting Lead to own the decisions behind that growth: which merchants we support, on what terms, and how we protect Breeze from chargebacks, refunds, fraud, and merchant failure.

This is a hands-on builder role with the autonomy to create the policies, scorecards, and processes that will shape how Breeze manages risk and scales globally.

- Use AI/data tooling to speed up file review and decisioning
- Partner with Sales, Treasury Ops, Risk/Compliance, and support bank/acquirer diligence

- That experience should include underwriting startups and privately held companies. You should be comfortable forming a view from incomplete, unaudited, fast-moving financials if needed.
- Demonstrated ownership of a credit decision: you have written the memo, taken a position, and defended it to a committee or a decision-maker
- Fluency with financial statements, cash flow analysis, runway, burn and unit economics
- Advanced Excel (comfort building models and working with large transaction-level datasets) and some degree of experience in AI enablement of finance and analysis workflows
