Overview

Who Are We Looking For?

CAPTRUST is seeking a Financial Advisor Relationship Manager to help build and be part of a very successful wealth management practice with team assets currently exceeding $50 billion. You'll provide comprehensive financial planning, investment management solutions, and risk management to wealth clients. Your role will be pivotal in guiding clients towards their short and long-term financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Client Relationships: Support and grow existing client relationships while increasing direct communication and service responsibilities
  • Execute Client Service: Manage financial planning projects, client requests, and meeting coordination with a high degree of ownership
  • Deliver Wealth Planning: Prepare and support financial planning recommendations across investments, retirement, estate, charitable, and insurance strategies
  • Implement Portfolio Strategies: Execute portfolio changes including rebalancing, transitions, and tax-loss harvesting; monitor alignment with client objectives
  • Participate in Client Meetings: Prepare materials and contribute to client discussions, presentations, and ongoing reviews
  • Coordinate Across Teams: Serve as a liaison with internal departments to ensure efficient execution and high-quality client outcomes
  • Support Business Development: Assist in identifying new opportunities, building referral networks, and developing client acquisition skills

Travel: Be available to travel as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree, with Finance or similar major or equivalent work experience
  • Minium 4 years sales and related industry experience in wealth management, financial planning, and investment vehicles
  • Series 65 or must obtain within 90 days of start date

Desired Qualifications/Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking, and excellent interpersonal skills. Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Relevant exposure to CRM and financial services software
  • Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and client service focus
  • Good organizational skills (e.g., multi-tasking and adapting priorities to meet deadlines)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of or exposure to eMoney or similar financial planning software
  • CFA, CFP; CPA; or other applicable certification preferred
