Position Summary:

The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing key finance operational processes, leading a high-performing team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures service level commitments are achieved, financial processes operate efficiently, and stakeholders receive exceptional support. The position works closely with business leaders to improve processes, enhance reporting, and support organizational objectives through effective financial management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily team workflow and resource allocation to ensure all SLA's are met or exceeded
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve individual and departmental goals
  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and performance feedback to support employee growth and engagement.
  • Oversee cash management and banking operations including daily cash monitoring, bank account management, funding requirements, wire transfers, cash forecasting, and the resolution of banking-related exceptions and reconciliations.
  • Oversee the Broker commission Process
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, reconciliations, and variances related to loan portfolios and finance operations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the accounting treatment of loan transactions and their impact on the general ledger
  • Identify inefficiencies within financial processes and recommend automation, system enhancements, or workflow improvements.
  • Participate in Finance projects and initiatives to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency
  • Support system implementations, process improvements and operational change initiatives as required.
  • Ensure adequate controls, audit requirements, and compliance considerations are incorporated into finance process and system changes.
  • Develop and update process documentation, workflows and other tools to support execution
  • Participate and contribute to the budget/forecast
  • Analyze trends and key performance indicators to inform decision making and make recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship across all business units.
  • Other duties as required

Training / Education / Experience Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of proven leadership experience and developing teams.
  • A college diploma/degree (Finance/Accounting) and/or 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting operations.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, financial controls and banking
  • Experience working with loan management systems, subledgers, and financial reporting systems.


Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $71,000 - $92,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience
