What will your typical day look like?Work you'll doThe Finance Lead for the Global Data Management (GDM) team within GFS is responsible for financial master data and financial integrity in Deloitte's SAP-based global finance platform.
High level responsibilities- Lead and develop the GFS GDM Finance Data team, setting strategy, priorities and operating cadence to deliver finance data integrity, controls and automation outcomes at a global scale for all of GFS' customers
- Advise and influence finance leadership teams in Deloitte member firms about Accounting design, Profit Center design strategy and financial data integrity to align with global initiatives
- Work with the GFS GDM Lead and the GFS Shared Operations Leader to influence and drive strategy for Finance data operations
- Work across technology and onboarding teams to bring other Deloitte member firms onto the SAP platform and set up their finance data models
- Responsible for ensuring adequate internal controls and confidential data protection around finance data, for providing evidential matter supporting compliance, and for driving a control mindset for GDM in Finance
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation; lead automation and efficiency projects focused on finance data and processes to continuously reduce administrative hours spent on low-value activities and drive optimal resource allocation and utilization
- Draw from best practices in the industry and formulate plans to implement standardization solutions for financial data across Deloitte
- Advise and consult with leadership levels in Deloitte's member firms including member firm conduit teams (largely CFOs and their delegates), member firm Finance Directors, Deloitte's Global Transformation Office, Deloitte Technology Financial Management, and internal and external Auditors
- The role also plays a crucial part in influencing global accounting processes and auditability as it is responsible for validating the integrity of time postings on engagements
Supervisory responsibilities- Lead performance cycles for a distributed team via goal setting, check-ins, inputs to leadership and promotions inputs
- Conduct comp-time and workload equity diligence via capacity planning, peak period staffing and monitoring overtime trends
- Identify high performers and build development plans with stretch assignments, rotations, shadowing and exposure to senior stakeholders
- Establish team standards and expectations through SOPs, QA checks and continuous improvement targets
- Mentor and coach team members on prioritization, feedback conversations, escalation handling and people management
- Drive hiring and onboarding for open positions
- Manage a team of 30+ with 2-3 direct reports
Autonomy- The role has full authority to engage with Deloitte member firm Finance leadership, including CFOs and their delegates and Finance Directors and their delegates to drive changes necessary to their processes in service of GFS' priorities
- The role can propose and undertake new services for member firms within the Finance data domain. These do not need approval if the services do not incur additional costs for the member firms
- The role can drive the design of automations implemented internally or by other teams to better suit its requirements
- The role can rearrange staff within their team to offer better customer service and can make hiring recommendations for open positions

Enough about us, let's talk about youQualificationsProfessional Qualifications- Minimum of 15+ years of experience managing financial accounting, cost, auditing, financial statements and financial reporting
- At least 5 years of management experience is required, interacting with senior leadership to establish thriving financial data operations
- Advanced SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) proficiency, displaying extensive knowledge of all aspects of SAP Finance, with specific focus on general ledger, profit and cost centers and end-to-end financial integrity
- Strong GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) foundation, displaying deep knowledge of accounting rules and regulations
- Strong command of ERP-enabled financial period close activities, reporting and control workflows
- Extensive experience in cost accounting, standard costing, financial statements, budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure
- Strong grounding in internal controls, period-end close discipline, audit readiness and internal auditing
Soft Skills- Strong executive communication and people leadership skills
- Strong ability to resolve conflicts and disputes as a part of data governance processes
- Proven ability to improve finance processes, strengthen controls and deliver reporting to facilitate decision-making
Academic Qualifications- This role requires an active CPA license
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred
Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
