Description
Safran Landing Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Team Manager based in Mobile, Alabama.
Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
In this role, you will lead a team of 7-10 Field Service Representatives while overseeing operational, administrative, and budgetary activities. The position is responsible for Part 21 Final Assembly Line (FAL) support activities at customer locations in Mobile, Charleston, Renton, Everett, and Little Rock.
The Mobile-based team provides direct support in Mobile and supplements local subcontractors at other FAL locations as operational requirements dictate. The role also oversees operational execution of Safran Landing Systems' Part 145 Repair Station activities throughout the Americas.
This position combines customer leadership, operational management, people leadership, financial accountability, and facility management within both Part 21 and Part 145 environments.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary customer interface for FAL and field support activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
• Lead Part 21 field support activities across customer Final Assembly Line locations and coordinate Mobile-based personnel and subcontractors to achieve customer commitments.
• Manage operational execution of Part 145 Repair Station activities throughout the Americas region.

Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance, repair, customer support, or field service experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong working knowledge of Part 21 manufacturing environments and Part 145 Repair Station operations.
• Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing, FAL, airline, MRO, or repair station environments.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams, subcontractors, and multi-site customer support activities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing budgets, operational expenditures, and administrative activities.
• Good knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems; landing gear experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Licensed A&P, AME, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally within the Americas and internationally.
