Now interviewing for Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine / Primary Care

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine / Primary Care will provide quality integrated primary health care services and medication management to children, adolescents and adults in an outpatient setting, and will perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team providing integrated general medical and behavioral health care to children, adolescents, adults, and elderly clients in need of services. Additionally, this position will work extensively through the FQHC, with adults diagnosed with substance use disorders and/or serious mental illness that are within residential programs/housing.

 

Education/Experience/Requirements 

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or a Doctorate degree in Nursing from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
  • One (1) year supervised experience in primary care with Severely Mentally Ill (SMI) and/or substance use disorder population, highly preferred
  • Must be recognized as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana
  • Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
  • Must have ANCC or other certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Must have current BLS certification
