Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an IT Project Manager to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators at Mesa, AZ. The Mesa, AZ location is the Training Systems Support Center (TSSC) providing technical support and maintenance of F-16 MTT simulators at various CONUS locations. Prepares project execution plans and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT, and interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Adheres to all IT governance policies and procedures.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hardware lifecycle management, technology refresh planning and hardware obsolescence mitigation. Coordinates with engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, software, configuration management and field service personnel to successfully execute hardware projects.
  • Responsible for planning and execution of multi-site hardware deployments and technology insertions while minimizing trainer downtime.
  • Responsible for coordinating with vendors, hardware evaluation, prototype integration, factory/site acceptance testing and technical risk management.
  • Responsible for supporting RMF implementation, ATO sustainment, Windows modernization, STIG compliance, hardware security requirements, and cybersecurity integration throughout the hardware lifecycle.
  • Responsible for task planning, including the generation of task schedule(s), allocation of resources, and the identification and resolution of dependencies and risks. Reviews task performance and work products for correctness as well as adherence to established standards and user requirements. Monitors task progress IAW schedules and milestones.
  • Prepares documents and briefings for program meetings to includes PMRs, monthly meetings, schedules, executive briefings and other customer presentations.
  • Coordinates and leads technical meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What you must have

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Experience in leading and managing technological teams.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage both project and program activities.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience researching new technologies to help solve existing technical problems or shortfalls.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field.
  • Experience with simulator systems, DoD acquisition, enterprise infrastructure and classified computing environments.
  • Experience applying Agile project management techniques.
  • Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts.
  • PMP Certification


Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
