Experienced Project Manager - Water Resources

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to join the St. Louis, MO Water Resources team. This is not a remote position.

As an Experienced Water Resources Project Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting and leading water, wastewater and stormwater projects. This role blends hands-on technical engineering and design with project management and client-facing responsibilities, offering a clear path for professionals ready to grow into increasing levels of leadership. Here's what you'll do:
  • Perform and oversee engineering design, analysis, and preparation of plans, specifications, and reports for a wide variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
  • Manage project schedules, scopes, and budgets.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and consultants.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project finances, invoicing, and contractual compliance.
  • Support business development and proposal preparation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
  • Engage clients, agencies and other professionals within the water, wastewater and stormwater engineering industry.


Here is what you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years minimum of engineering and project experience with an emphasis in Water Resources.
  • Registered Professional Engineer license
  • Strong preference will be given to those with not only a technical understanding of delivering water, wastewater and stormwater engineering projects but those that possess a complete understanding of delivering a quality and comprehensive product, program, or solution for our clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment while mentoring staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects, work in an environment to learn quickly, take initiative and interact with a variety of people located in St. Louis and other CMT offices.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Project management and client-facing experience.
  • Experience in business development and staff supervision.
  • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit and GIS software packages.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Ideally, you will also have:
  • Missouri preferred PE license
  • Willingness to travel as needed

The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
