Job Summary:

The ETL Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting ETL processes that move and transform data for the client's enterprise data warehouse. This role works with SQL Server, Excel, and other back-end data systems to support data integration, data quality, and reliable data loading. The ETL Developer will help ensure data pipelines are accurate, efficient, and maintainable.

This role works collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and support data and system initiatives. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in ETL development and SQL, is comfortable troubleshooting data issues, and can contribute effectively within a team while continuing to grow their technical skills.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and support Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to move data from disparate source systems into the enterprise data warehouse
• Work with internal developers and technical teams to access external data, transform data, and support integrations across systems
• Support the integration of multiple data sources into an enterprise data warehouse environment
• Assist with database structures and the integration of new systems into existing database environments
• Monitor and improve database and ETL performance to support efficient and reliable processing
• Collaborate with senior technical resources and client stakeholders to support data integration and technical requirements
• Stay current on ETL technologies, tools, and methods and contribute to testing or evaluating new approaches as needed
• Document data dictionaries, data mappings, database structures, and end-to-end data flows to support maintainability
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet stakeholder needs
• Troubleshoot database and ETL issues, identify root causes, and assist with implementing effective resolutions
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and related programming within a SQL Server-based data warehouse
• Ensure accurate and efficient loading of data into new or existing data warehouse systems
• Apply knowledge of back-end database solutions to develop and support ETL pipelines
• Communicate with client stakeholders to understand business needs and help translate requirements into technical solutions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience developing or supporting ETL processes within data environments
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL Server, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and basic performance optimization
• Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ETL workflows and data integrations
• Experience working with database structures and integrating data from multiple source systems
• Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data integration, and back-end database solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot data and ETL issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to effective resolutions
• Experience documenting data flows, mappings, data dictionaries, or database structures
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience validating data quality and supporting accurate, reliable data loads

• Ability to manage assigned ETL tasks, prioritize work, and contribute within a cross-functional technical team

Preferred:
• Certifications or training in SQL Server, ETL technologies, or data engineering tools
• Exposure to data governance, metadata management, or enterprise data management practices
• Experience with cloud-based ETL or data integration platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Informatica)
• Experience assisting with proofs of concept or evaluating data integration technologies
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based development cycles
