Job Summary:

This role is for an Equipment Manger Position with Bechtel Equipment Operations. Candidates will be based in Sugar Land, Texas and will be required to make business trips to projects and/or mobilize to a jobsite when required (20% travel). #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Complete requisitions for maintenance, parts and equipment as needed.
  • On or off- site project support scheduling and forecasting as required.
  • Maintain construction equipment schedules for projects.
  • Monitor project's equipment plan/forecast/actuals.
  • Analyze, interpret and generate reports including but not limited to asset management control.
  • Participate in Weekly equipment meetings and ad hoc coordination meetings.
  • Monitors the activities of proposed subcontractors or vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
  • Manage equipment data information and transfers in the database.
  • Review and facilitate payment of invoices
  • Provide support and guidance to assist project equipment management team as required.
  • Review and adhere to the Execution plans and Standard Work processes


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree engineering, construction, business or scientific discipline and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, such as Earthmoving Equipment, Cranes, Heavy trucks, trailers, forklifts, generation equipment, rigging equipment etc.
  • Has understanding of equipment warranties, performance guarantees, and equipment fitness for use.
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline construction and or operating functions.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and practices.
  • Knowledge of heavy-industrial equipment management work processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
  • Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
  • Knowledge in the use of subcontracts and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • AEMP Equipment Management Specialist (EMS) or Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) certification preferred.
  • Planning and schedule experience preferred.
  • General construction equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Financial background preferred.
