What you will enjoy doing*- You will serve as one of the Lead EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team members by conducting monthly training sessions, audits, and meetings to promote awareness and continuous improvement in all aspects of the EHS programs
- You will investigate workplace incidents using root-cause analysis (RCA) tools to identify underlying causes and implement robust corrective and preventive measures. Share lessons-learned across the business
- You have deep knowledge, understanding and level of involvement in injury and illness case management and will participate in the return-to-work process as well as the RCA of such events
- You will evaluate and monitor plant employees as well as all on-site contractors' compliance with company safety regulations
- Perform risk assessments of workplace ergonomics, equipment, process safety, and operational processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards to personnel, facilities, and the environment
- Responsible for creating and maintaining waste profiles and manifests for shipping all site waste streams, including hazardous waste materials
- Design and implement safety programs, including training classes, standard operating procedures, and policies that support 24/7 production operations
- You will enjoy working on the production floor by performing regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of safety initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
- You have proven capability of developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures
- You have experience with promoting a culture of safety through behavioral based safety programs and techniques
- In addition, you will lead the efforts in maintaining and upkeep of the plant Safety Data Sheet records database
What makes you great - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of progressive EHS experience within manufacturing, construction, chemical processing, powder handling, industrial operations, or similar environments
- Minimum of three years' related experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety requirements, contractor management practices, permit-to-work systems, confined space regulations, lockout/tagout requirements, and hazard communication standards
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent certifications are preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in time management and multi-tasking/prioritizing skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, macros)
- Required to work on-site in a manufacturing environment. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity
