Grain & Protein Technologies (GPT) has an exciting opportunity for an
Engineering Team Lead for Structures and Specialty Products in
Omaha, NE. As a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural solutions, GPT delivers effective, high-tech solutions for those working to feed the world's population.
As Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for new product development and current product maintenance across the Structures and Specialty product groups. You'll work to develop a high-performance engineering team through people development and culture development while managing projects of varying scope. You'll provide leadership and direction to the engineering team and will report to the engineering manager.
ImpactLeadership & Team Development- Lead a team of design engineers
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members
- Manage tasks, priorities, & resource plans
- Be transparent through effective communication to team members and to management
- Foster a winning culture of collaboration & continuous improvement
- Clearly define expectations & provide critical team support
Project Management- Verify product requirements, cost targets, and priorities
- Manage project timelines & drive accountability to deadlines
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders including product management, manufacturing, quality, sales, customers, suppliers, etc.
- Analyze and identify risks
Culture of Excellence- Foster inter-departmental support of manufacturing, quality, & tech support teams
- Ensure accuracy of engineering output to facilitate all downstream functions
- Drive continuous improvement of systems & tools including automation of repetitious tasks
- Ensure adherence to standards and guidelines for design, modeling, drawings, processes
Experience and Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, and willingness to challenge status quo
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally to ensure organizational alignment
- Possess a passion for delivering solutions to enable customer success
- Ability to think and react quickly to new information & make key decisions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a deadline oriented, fast-paced, and flexible environment
Compensation and BenefitsExpected annual salary for this role will be $90,000 - $125,000 plus a bonus target. This is dependent upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills.
