About the roleElectrical Engineer responsible for the design and development of industrial based electronic access control products. Duties will be focused in the area of creating electronic designs based on: theoretical foundations, interaction with mechanical systems, customer or industry specifications and cost affective design solutions for hardware, firmware and where applicable software. Participating in design process would extend from early in the specification development phase through production trouble shooting.
What you will be doing 1. Design and develop control systems and embedded code for microprocessor based electronic products according the product specifications or custom application requirements.
2. Embedded Microprocessor based circuit design, PCB layout, testing and troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical systems, prototype through production based on industry accepted DFM Standards and EMC Compliance.
3. Prepare product documentation according to ISO design process standards for schematics, drawings, manufacturing BOM's and customer documentation.
4. Develop embedded firmware and production based test routines in common programming languages.
5. Support mechanical engineers and Contribute in the design process for electronic and electromechanical new product development process according to ISO guidelines.
6. Support manufacturing engineers, assembly personnel, vendors, and fabricators by participation in root cause analysis of production and development system for functional failures.
7. Provide engineering, tooling and piece part cost estimates.
8. Regularly interface with internal and external customers regarding product specifications and product performance for developmental and production design levels.
About you 1. BS in Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum 3 years relevant design experience with electrical/electronics and/or electromechanical products.
3. Experience in analog and digital electronic design concepts, electronic component selection, circuit design and PCB layout and firmware development.
4. Demonstrated experience in electromechanical design and preferably electronic access control technologies.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
6. Must be analytical and self-motivated.
