The Software and Ground Solutions group at BAE Systems Aerospace & Mission Systems (AMS) is looking to expand our team with a talented and energetic software engineer focused on delivering high-quality, embedded software and associated test infrastructure. This position supports a portfolio of software programs. Technology areas include software development integration and test, CI/CD, and Containerization.
What You'll Do:
Support design, development, integration and testing of embedded software systems.
Apply technical expertise and knowledge of software domains to integrate custom built software applications with industry standard applications to deliver fully functional enterprise ground systems.
Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Interface effectively with people at all levels and from different areas, seek out responsibilities and opportunities to contribute, regularly meets with customers, provide leadership to groups and teams and guidance to less experienced employees.
Prepare and give presentations to peers/management/customers.

Required Skills and Education
BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

Knowledge of systems engineering roles and functions, particularly verification and validation, including operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition and control.
Hands on experience in developing and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Confluence and Jira.
