The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers' missions. What You'll Do:- Learn & Analyze: Master the art of characterizing mission performance. You will use advanced modeling and simulation to determine if a system architecture will succeed or fail before a single piece of hardware is ever built.
- Build & Innovate: You won't just use tools-you'll help build them. You will develop new algorithms and simulation tools to solve complex data analysis problems.
- Collaborate & Contribute: Work side-by-side with senior engineers to hit project milestones and solve technical bottlenecks.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations will be required.
The On-Site Advantage: This role is based on-site five days a week. For a newer engineer, this is your greatest advantage. You will have immediate, face-to-face access to senior mentors, the ability to collaborate over a whiteboard in real-time, and a direct connection to the laboratories and production floors where your designs come to life.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Skills and Education- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., master's degree and/or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Secret security clearance is required with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- Technical Proficiencies
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C++.
- Analytic Modeling: Demonstrated capability in analytic modeling and the ability to translate complex data sets into comprehensive technical reports.

- Strategic Communication: Ability to synthesize complex technical analysis into professional presentations tailored for internal executive leadership and external customers.
- Collaborative Execution: A proven track record of contributing to the success of small, agile teams through proactive teamwork and effective cross-functional communication.

Preferred Skills and Education- Advanced Education: An MS or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated experience with space systems and orbital dynamics, as well as a foundational understanding of signal processing across the electromagnetic spectrum.
- Specialized Toolset: Proficiency with industry-standard simulation and modeling tools, specifically STK and/or AFSIM.
- Systems Architecture: Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing Cameo or SysML.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Python programming.
- Research Acumen: A proven track record of independent research, whether in an academic or professional environment.
