McKinstry Energy Sales LeaderWe are adding an Energy Sales Leader to our growing Energy division in Phoenix, AZ. You will play a key role in driving market growth, building, developing and retaining a high-performing sales team while expanding the regional market for McKinstry.
The Energy Sales Leader will have a growth-mindset that bringspeople together, inspires teams, and delivers excellence to our clients. The Sales Leader should demonstrate that they have helped grow a successful business, preferably within the built environment, and have experience managing, teaching and training a sales team that builds relationships with clients in the municipal, higher education, K-12 education, and healthcare markets.
The Energy Sales Leader will be well-versed in the process of consultative and solution sales to a C-suite audience. Demonstrated leadership, coaching best practices, and team-building experience are required. Technical knowledge of any of our offerings is highly preferred.
Responsibilities Business Management
- Develops and executes strategic and tactical business plans.
- Positions McKinstry's brand within identified vertical markets.
- Promotes all corporate offerings externally and internally.
- Increases the gross revenue and operating income as delineated by yearly goals.
- Build and maintain relationships within industry leaders, associations, organizations and government entities at local, state and national levels.
- Provides customer service support on project financing and contracting issues.
- Participates in monitoring and managing key business metrics.
- Reports identified potential business risk elements and participate in mitigation efforts.
Team Management
- Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration.
- Includes lead generation, sales, proposal creation and customer service delivery.
- Select, train, coach and manage sales team.
- Partner with the Senior Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction.
Required Education, Knowledge and Abilities
- 8-10 years of experience managing sales teams required.
- 8-10 years of experience in a consultative selling role required.
- Experience in public works contracting methods required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business or sales experience required.

The pay range for this position is $114,210 - $173,610 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
