Salary Details

The salary range for this position is CAD $41.64/Hr. - CAD $41.64/Hr.

Job Summary

Within the context of a client service culture, repairs, maintains, modifies and commissions electronic systems and electronic equipment including but not limited to computerized fire alarm and security systems, nurse calls, code blue calls, patient beds, operating room tables, and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) using tools such as, but not limited to, screwdrivers and soldering irons, and testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and function generators. All work performed on equipment/devices is done in accordance with applicable by-laws, codes and standards. Makes recommendations on the purchase/modifications of electronic equipment and estimates costs of labour and material. Produces written reports, as built drawings, and recommendations as necessary.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology plus three (3) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Certified as a Registered Fire Protection Technician by the Applied Science Technologist and Technicians of B.C. (ASTTBC).

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
