Your Key Responsibilities
Electrical Software Design Engineer in the Schaeffler Special Machinery (SMB) Department in Wooster, Ohio.
Contribute to Schaeffler's success in an ever-changing market by developing and commissioning control software for manufacturing automation processes.
Cooperate with engineers or professionals of other disciplines to coordinate software interfaces.
Develop control software and design embedded systems for technical realization of projects.
Software development in the fields of Siemens Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal & Step7, Fanuc Robots, Machine Vision Systems, C+, C#, Microsoft Office, etc.
Hardware integration with Siemens 1500 series Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), servo drive systems, industrial networking (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet, etc.), proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controls, power distribution systems, etc.
Travel to various sites for customer service support, up to 50% travel requirements depending on needs.
