Summary

Responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes within the Nuclear Power Generation manufacturing department, focusing on improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing production methods, equipment, and materials, often collaborating with other departments to identify and implement improvements across nuclear product lines.

Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
• Process/product mastery and ownership
• Day-to day shop floor support
• Manufacturing traveler/router creation and modification
• Manufacturing equipment selection and implementation
• Disposition of non-conforming product and equipment
• Product and process failure analysis and troubleshooting
• Fixturing design and implementation
• Manufacturing procedure creation, modification, and associated operator training
• Engineering change management
• Capital Equipment project justifications, submissions and management
• Manufacturing process and quality control through collaboration with operators, data collection, and trend tracking
• Manufacturing process audits
• Purchasing manufacturing tooling and consumables
• Scrap reduction through process improvement projects

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or an associate's degree with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Process Engineering or other Electrical/Electronic Engineering based positions). Candidates possessing degrees in the following areas will be considered: Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
