Full Job Description
Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Analyst-Castings. This is a full time, on-site position based at our Euclid, OH manufacturing facility.

Eaton Euclid specializes in the manufacturing and repair of main engine fuel pumps, airframe pumps and aftermarket repairs. This site serves both commercial and military aerospace customers.

The Supplier Quality Analyst is responsible for inspection of casting, and qualifying our suppliers in regards to casting.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

  • Work with Eaton suppliers providing parts and processes. This includes clarifications of Eaton requirements, reviewing PPAP, First Article Inspections and supplier product at casting and machining suppliers.
  • Drive reductions in Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Scrap and improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY) of purchased products.
  • Support Eaton's response to customer requested corrective action and provide support to customers regarding Eaton purchased materials.
  • Support Euclid site operations through timely disposition of supplier related nonconforming materials found during manufacturing and requiring corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Support Euclid site operations by interfacing with suppliers to drive corrective action through DMRs to get full root cause analysis, identification and implementation of permanent corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross functionally at the Eaton Euclid site, to drive improvement to processes and develop methodologies to improve quality. This position requires interaction with external customers and suppliers as well as internal personnel at all levels of the organization. Interaction is quite often providing the controlled interface between an Eaton manufacturing supplier and the Eaton customer.
  • Work with customer, government and other regulatory representatives to interpret or reach agreement on Quality procedures, and acceptability of products and assure compliance with the specified customer and government requirements.
  • Lead or participate continuous improvement efforts for internal and external processes utilizing quality functional tools such as statistical and analytical tools, PFMEAs, MSAs, control plans, PPAP, and process capability studies.
  • Perform Supplier audits as necessary in accordance with Eaton's requirements to approve new suppliers and monitor existing suppliers.
  • Report on supplier performance. Provide information to Quality Management in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements.


Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum Associates Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years combined work experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a foundry/metal casting/machining environment AND/OR providing quality oversight at a foundry/machine shop

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Aerospace Quality Management experience
  • Five (5) years experience in a foundry/metal casting/machining environment or providing quality oversight at foundries/machine shops


Skills:

  • Understanding of GD&T application in casting and machining processes.
  • Familiarity with castings and processes and machining of castings preferably aluminum.
  • Familiarity with special processes, particularly FPI and NDT used at foundries.
